Over 250+ judging by the Widego counter which isn't too accurate and misses quite a few in the first place. That's a pretty big miletone considering our short lifespan so far. Funkelicious Interview!

A little later than planned but here it is.
Welcome to the first interview EDMaddict is going to offer you guys. I'm not going to introduce them to you. They will do it themselves. So without further ado I bring to you:



EDMaddict: Who is Funkelicious?
Funkelicious: Funkelicious is a young producing duo who started off in September 2008. When they found out that they both shared the same passion for all kinds of house music they started to create their first track together called Funk Me. When they received a lot of good reactions on the track they started to produce a track together with Fruity Fresh called Seaweed. This was their first (small) success. The track got almost 1200 downloads in the first month it was released! After Seaweed they started a new project with their personal friends called Del Valle & Vergara, this track was called ‘’Call 911’’ and was a small banger in the underground clubscene of Amsterdam. When they finished Call 911 they were contacted by Fruity Fresh who asked for another collaboration, this time featuring Paul East aswell. They named the track Rewind Again and it’s considered their biggest hit till now, with massive support from a lot of dj’s and producers and the crowd going absolutely wild every time they hear it! The track got signed on Miami Records and is soon to be released on all major download portals! After that they created Woo-Kid, their latest track. It got released on Ruckerz Music including a remix by Tim Holland! After 2 days (!!) we hit the Dance-Tunes overall top 100 charts! Well that’s basically all the info that we can give you about our current tracks. We’re currently working on some new projects and we personally think that they will be the best tracks we’ve made so far.. so stay tuned for more Funkelicious updates!

And here is some personal info about us

Funkelicious is a duo of 2 producers called Milio van de Kamp (17 years old) and Jeroen Bakker (14 years old). Milio was born and raised in Amsterdam while Jeroen spent his whole life living in Deurne.

EDMaddict:What is your biggest success until now?
Funkelicious:Rewind Again! With the track having massive support from a lot of dj’s and producers around the country.

EDMaddict:What is/are the best artist(s) in your opinions?
Funkelicious:Well we listen to a lot of artists but here are some of our favorites.

Mark Knight, Laidback Luke, Prok & Fitch, Axwell, Sebastien Ingrosso, Steve Angello, Eric Prydz, Sebastien Leger, D.O.N.S, Fedde Le Grand, Funkerman, Deadmau5 and a lot more!

EDMaddict:What can you tell us about your future plans?
Funkelicious:Well we currently have a lot of open projects (including collaborations with other artists) and when we’ve finished those we’ll probably start creating our studio and working on our DJ’ing skills.

EDMaddict:What are there artists you're working with at the moment/hope to work with in the future?
Funkelicious:Well it’s a little obvious that we want to work with our personal favorites but that’s still far far away!

At the moment we really enjoy producing with our friends like Del Valle & Vergara, Fruity Fresh, Paul East, Mizzle and Discount!

EDMaddict Upgrade

Welcome back! It's finally Friday, and we have a pretty nice update. We have upgraded our download/upload service which I will explain below. We have a brand new shout box as well, and things are coming along real well for how new this blog is. We have a lot in store and plan to keep building EDMaddict... so enjoy the music, spread the word, and take it easy.

Zippyshare has driven me up a wall, and now the EDMaddict blog has it's own Speedyshare account. No more obnoxious videos that make you wait to preview a song, etc. We can also make bundled downloads (Theme days, EPs, etc.) and your life a lot easier. It's a premium service for a really good price. It also allows searches of all Rapidshare and Speedyshare files. Today's post has some GREAT tracks by some good producers unlike those tycoons in the MUSIC industry who take a song like Eiffle 65 - I'm Blue and turn it into an utter piece of crap with rap lyrics. It wasn't that great in the first place, but it had a catchy tune and at the time caught the nation by storm. The Numa Numa song worked but let it go at that, no one can stand listening to that anymore either. If you haven't, it's fucking ATROCIOUS. First Kanye slaughters an eternal Daft Punk classic and now producers are after anything that has "the NUMA element". Today's post has some prog. house since it was requested and not too many blogs have a lot of prog. house. That being said, enjoy the tunage.

Thursdays cause Minimal damage

It's almost time to get paid, relax, and listen to some good music. Today is the first of a series of videos I will be posting from Ultra Music Festival. These HD Videos were taken by my friend Ramzi, and the Mau5 gave him props for taking such an awesome video at his main stage intro last year. I have a few good minimal tunes as well as some house. I ended up going to see, The Last House on the Left last night with some friends. I rarely ever go to movies but drinking would undue all the recovering I have done thus far, I still need a few days rest. This movie is INTENSE and is NOT for the weak of heart. I enjoy a good thriller, and it had me on the edge of my seat for a good hour. This isn't a movie blog, but if you like scary movies then this is definitly worth checkign out!

This is a blog post that goes out all of those people in Miami who all wore the same exact T-shirt, only a different color. I highly recommend anyone that if you DO go to Miami, you DON'T wear one of those shirts. It's a great song regardless and LMFAO has been working hard putting their stamp on anything they can make some money on. I have no problem with that as long as they keep producing some more bomb tracks.

Post-WMC Depression sets in

We had an amazing time at Ultra. A couple went for their first time and experienced what it is really like to have the BEST TIME OF YOUR LIFE. The only thing thats keeping me happy is the music, and another countdown till next year begins.

We also took some great videos at WMC that I will be posting throughout the weeks! It's some great footage and I hope those of you who haven't been can get a taste of what it's like. EDMAddict has a lot of awesome things coming, so tell your friends, keep coming back and if you have your own music LET ME HEAR IT! I promise I will listen to it, nothing is automatically sent to the trash can!

WMC is over and my legs can't move

Winter Music Conference is pretty much over, and to say the least it was incredible. Saturdays ULTRA had to be the biggest crowd ever. The people were there in the masses and dancing in full force but Friday was definitely the better lineup. There were a lot of awesome performances at Ultra but these were the best in my opinion.... Rabbit in the Moon, Deadmau5, Roni Size Represents (Live), Richie Hawtin. I always enjoy music but when it comes with a great show it's even better. Every WMC is an amazing time and if you haven't gone, start planning and saving this year. I'm a little overwhelmed... and I can barely move my legs anymore.
